To Your Health! Dannon and Yoplait Coupons!
There are a few grocery items I believe should be a staple in everyone’s kitchen. We all think of flour, sugar, coffee, etc. Yogurt is on our list of family staples.
Here’s why Yogurt always belongs in your staple fridge stock:
It’s low fat (or can also be purchased “fat free). And low calorie as well. (Regular yogurt has less than 200 calories. Low fat, 100 or less)
Chock full of good bacteria or “probiotics”, yogurt is designed to keep your intestinal track healthy and consequently, all of you healthy.
Is a decent source of calcium. (Around 20 percent of the daily requirement)
Some types of yogurt also have Vitamin D, which combined with calcium, work to prevent osteoporosis.
Studies have shown yogurt has the ability to lower blood pressure
Helps prevent yeast infections when you’ve taken antibiotics.
A good source of protein.
Yogurt is also delicious. With too many flavors to count, you will find even the pickiest of eaters will consume some sort of yogurt.
The only drawback to devouring a ton of yogurt a week, when you have a family, is the cost. Even 2 for a dollar deals still add up when you’ve got a four or more humans downing a yogurt a day. At only fifty cents each, a family of four who consumes one yogurt a day a piece, spends $2.00 a day or around $60.00 a month. Ouch. I hate to say it, but we’re on the list of humans who do eat that much. I always feel the health benefits outweigh the cost, but still looking at that amount on paper seems high. Cheap yogurt does not always have all the active cultures, nor the Vitamin D of brand name varieties. (Read labels to confirm your stores brand).
